Artist Spotlight #9

They came from The Bronx, New York-they had formerly been part of a High School choral group called The Melody Singers from Christopher Columbus High School. The group that sang on most of their early songs would consist of Lenny Dell, Howie Margolin, Charlie Peterson and Marisa Martelli-they were The Demensions.



Their first hit would come in August 1960 (#16)-“Over The Rainbow”.
Their follow up record, also from 1960, was “Don’t Take Your Love From Me”.
This next song would reach #95 on the Billboard Top 100 in March 1963-“My Foolish Heart”.
