This was the entertainer known as “Mr. Excitement”. His name was Jackie Wilson and he was born June 6, 1934 in Highland Park, Michigan. In the earlier part of the 1950’s he had been with Billy Ward & The Dominoes but solo success would find him in 1958 (from 1958-1968 he scored 24 Top 40 hits).

Entering the nation’s Top 40 on December 8, 1958, peaking at #7-“Lonely Teardrops”. A dynamic performance on “American Bandstand”

From September 1967-“Higher And Higher”, peaking at #6.

From June 1961-“I’m Coming On Back To You”, peaking at #19.
