This next R & B group was formed in 1960 at the Greater Harvest Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. They would be led by Maurice McAlister. From December of 1964, The Radiants and “Voice Your Choice” (#51)

Our next group, formed in 1962, was formerly known as The Kit Kats. In 1969 they became The New Hope and their recording of “Won’t Find Better Than Me” was entering the local music surveys of KYA in November of 1969.

Tommy McLain was born March 15, 1940 in Jonesville, Louisiana. His biggest claim to fame would come in the summer of 1966 with a remake of an earlier Patsy Cline hit-“Sweet Dreams”(#15)
