Dee Clark
Delecta Clark was born on November 17, 1938 in Blytheville, Arkansas but he was raised in Chicago, Illinois. We would know him as Dee Clark and he would have his first national hit in January of 1959 with “Nobody But You”.
Dee’s biggest hit would come in May of 1961 with “Raindrops.
In May of 1961 he would enter the nation’s Top 40 with his recording of “Your Friends”
Dee Clark was not always a solo artist. His humble beginnings would occur in the year 1956 when he was part of a group called The Kool Gents. In 1956 they would record “I Just Can’t Help Myself”.
