The Elvis Jukebox

Now we go back to the beginning of the career of the man who would eventually become the King Of Rock ‘N Roll. On July 18, 1953, a young truck driver named Elvis Presley would make his first recordings for Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee. His sound was still raw and unpolished, but that would soon change.

Also on July 18, 1953, Elvis would record this version of “That’s When Your Heartaches Begin”. Elvis would eventually record this song again in 1957, it would be the flip side of “All Shook Up”

Elvis would be back in the recording studios of Sun Records on January 4, 1954. He still hadn’t found that sound that the recording company was looking for, but it would come soon. This was his recording of “I’ll Never Stand In Your Way” from January 4, 1954
