In the decade of the 1950’s, our next performer was a member of Huey ‘Piano’ Smith & The Clowns. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and her name was Gerri Hall. Our next performer was born on December 25, 1934. He would be based out of Chicago, Illinois. His name was McKinley Mitchell and in April of 1962 his biggest hit would debut on the KYA Swingin’ 60 in the Bay Area


The real name of our next performer was Eugene Dixon, but he would be known to us as Gene Chandler. He would rise to the top of the nation’s Top 40 in 1962 with “The Duke Of Earl”. This next song would hit the national Top 40 in November of 1964-“Bless Our Love”
